Valerio Lo Coco

Valerio Lo Coco was born in Livorno, Tuscany, in 1980.
Being born in one of Italy’s main wine regions and being the son of a restaurant owner in Livorno, he grew up surrounded by food and wine.
Aside from his studies he always worked in the family restaurant and he qualified as a sommelier in 2007.
After graduating as a dentist, he moved to the UK in 2008 to practice the profession and he settled in Edinburgh. Although he is still practicing, his real passion is food and wine.

In 2013 he decided to found Bacco, where he is still actively involved.
This allowed him to develop his passion for wine and discover many authentic and great wines, which Bacco import directly to make them available to all wine lovers in the UK.

Tobia Salvai

MANAGER

Tobia Salvai is a young professional that, moved by his passion for wine, decided to travel visiting vineyards and producers around Italy moved by the idea to learn and explore such beautiful world.
Manager of Bacco Wine he is looking after all of the aspects that involves wine service, trading and education. Playing a role of “Sommelier”, he is voted to select, explain and promote new products for the U.K. market, supported by the rest of the team.
Tobia believe that knowing where a wine comes from, touching the grapes and having the chance to ask questions directly to the producer is important in order to provide high quality wines to Bacco’s customers.
His motto is: ” Wine is everything! In wine we do have geography, history, chemistry, botanic, geology, tradition, art and culture. All in just one glass. Is my role to open the doors of such beautiful world and let the people explore it”.
