Valerio Lo Coco was born in Livorno, Tuscany, in 1980.
Being born in one of Italy’s main wine regions and being the son of a restaurant owner in Livorno, he grew up surrounded by food and wine.
Aside from his studies he always worked in the family restaurant and he qualified as a sommelier in 2007.
After graduating as a dentist, he moved to the UK in 2008 to practice the profession and he settled in Edinburgh. Although he is still practicing, his real passion is food and wine.
In 2013 he decided to found Bacco, where he is still actively involved.
This allowed him to develop his passion for wine and discover many authentic and great wines, which Bacco import directly to make them available to all wine lovers in the UK.
