WINEMAKING: The Winery Marchesato degli Aleramici , established in 1986, near Siena, in Montalcino town where you will find our estate “Il Galampio”. Situated in the locality known as “Pian delle Vigne” this ancient farm is located on a gentle slope that descends from the state forest down towards the Ombrone river. The Brunello is refined over 48 months in barrels. The resulting wine is truly one of Italian’s greatest.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Brunello is ideal to be enjoyed alonside meat dishes, lamb, duck, game and strong cheeses such as parmesan, pecorino. It is recommended to uncork the bottle a few hours before consumption and serve at temperature between 18°C and 20°C.
VINTAGE: 1994. This vintage was characterized by a good spring period for both rains and temperatures, followed by a torrid summer with scarce rain and some problems of water stress for the plants. Sporadic rainfall in September did not disturb the harvest phase thus favoring the gradual ripening of the grapes.
