GRAPES: 100% Nebbiolo
SOIL TYPE: These hills, of recent geological formation, have on the surface a large mainly calcareous soil, with a high presence of quartz sand and very fine lime, alternating with compact layers of gray sandstone.
WINEMAKING: Destemming, crushing and fermentation with maceration in contact with the skins at 26°C for 12-14 days. Malolactic fermentation in steel conteiners and 12 months refining in barriques and tonneaux of third and fourth passage.
TASTING NOTES: Ruby red color. On the nose it displays notes of violet, pout pourri, scents of face powder. In the mouth it highlights a good body that does not penalize the drinkability, sweet tannins, soness, well-balanced sapid note. Nebbiolo in its most classic expressions. Pleasant and engaging wine.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Ideal with Porcini mushrooms, white truffle, and strong cheeses. Is excellent with lamb and duck roasts.
